This award honors those who transform compassion into action—creating programs, initiatives, and collaborations that build stronger, more connected neighborhoods. 

To honor an employee who consistently goes above and beyond their job responsibilities, demonstrating outstanding dedication, integrity, and professionalism. This award recognizes someone whose daily actions uplift others, improve departmental outcomes, and reflect the County’s commitment to service excellence. 

To formally recognize an employee whose long-standing career reflects exceptional performance, loyalty, and service. This award honors an individual who has not only excelled in their role but has also mentored others, championed innovation, and made a lasting impact on DeKalb County. 

To recognize an employee who exemplifies the vision of Madam CEO’s “Government Reimagined” initiative by implementing creative, effective, and forward-thinking solutions that improve County operations or public services. 

The Volunteer of the Year Award provides opportunity to publicly recognize one Chamber Member who exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and community leadership through participation in Chamber of Commerce committees, programs, and activities.

Honors the important role small businesses play in DeKalb community and local economy. The business must be located in DeKalb County and demonstrate staying power, a sustained history of continued growth, and impact on the community (creation of new, quality job opportunities; recent or current expansion of an existing facility; the construction of a new facility; or substantial investment in capital equipment are considered).

Recognizes inspiring leadership that transcends business and leaves a legacy of community and economic vitality for generations to come. The Business Legacy Award will be presented to an extraordinary business that has been in business for 30 years or more, embodies Leadership, Innovation, Employee Investment and Community Service.
