This year, the gala shines a spotlight on one of DeKalb County’s most urgent challenges, food insecurity. With ongoing economic uncertainty, recent layoffs, and the possibility of federal funding interruptions to programs like SNAP and housing assistance, many families are facing hardship. Access to healthy, nutritious meals, a basic human right, has become uncertain for too many of our neighbors.

A portion of the proceeds from the Spirit of DeKalb Gala will directly support trusted local organizations that provide food and essential resources to those most in need. Together, we can ensure that no family in DeKalb faces hunger alone.
